Partnering with the premium Clase Azul Tequila, our Compass Pool Bar team at Milaidhoo will brighten up Tequila Classics during April and May by serving delicious and refreshing concoctions topped with fruity Paletas.

1. Clase Azul Tequila

This famous Mexican Tequila is not just known for the uniquely shaped bottles that become collectors’ pieces but also for the high quality and care by which the Tequila is produced. Aged in sherry wood casks from Spain, the Tequila is made from Blue Agave that are allowed to grow for 6 to 8 years before being harvested to become one of the most sought-after Tequilas from Mexico.

2. What is Paleta?

Children, especially in the Western countries, would probably call a paleta a popsicle. Paletas, however, are a traditional Mexican dessert. They are made of fresh fruit juices, refined with cream, yoghurt and other ingredients of choice. They are a treat on hot summer days, and at Milaidhoo we use them to cool down your favourite Tequila drink on a hot tropical day in Paradise.

3. Our four favourite concoctions

The El Diablo with Citrus Paleta

This historic cocktail does not need many words to describe it as the tequila, Crème de Cassis, Lime Juice and Ginger Beer tastes just great with refreshing Citrus Paleta.

Tequila Sunrise with Pomegranate Paleta

Some may call this the Tequila drink for beginners, but uncountable love stories have been written with a Tequila Sunrise drink in hand. Topped with a Pomegranate Paleta, this is the perfect sundowner to sip by the pool.

The Cantaritos with Grapefruit Paleta

The question is whether the Paleta cools the drink or the drink enhances the Paleta. A Cantaritos is full of fresh juices and a pinch of salt and of course Tequila. The Grapefruit Paleta adds perfection to this fruit-filled drink.

Margarita and Orange Paleta

The legendary Margarita cocktail needs no introduction, but adding the Orange Paleta gives the Margarita experience a whole new twist.
